The Crown is an Irish Claddagh Ring, a friendship ring sometimes used as a wedding ring.

The crossed swords are a warning to enemies and protection for friends.

The Marijuana leaf is for the Reefer-smuggling and blockade-running that this pirate engaged in.

The crossed axes are the insignia of a ship's carpenter.

The large trident is a symbol of the name "King Neptune" given  to Sean by his pirate crew in the old hippie days of  Key West.

The small trident is for his Irish drinking buddy and smuggling partner, Bailey "Little Neptune."
